Let’s you take your Mabari war hound as a 5th companion. This is great because I find the Rogue class rather useless in DA and hated having to take one with me. This lets any class unlock chests using strength or magic. You also get all the item drops using this mod, too! It allows you to skip the boring parts of the Fade and go directly to your follower’s dreams and then fight the demon with all the Fade transformations already unlocked. If you’re like me and just want to get on with the story, this is the perfect mod for you. It also includes an optional Morrigan morph that makes her look more like her original face model (ie. You can choose to change them based on Lore (characters redesigned to fit their races better) or Aesthetics (characters redesigned to be more attractive) or a combination of both. This mod redesigns over 500 NPCs in the game to make their appearance better.

If you only download one mod, this should be it. This mod gives HD textures to the whole game and makes DA much more beautiful. Here is my list of the 31 best mods you never knew you needed (but now you can’t live without):ģ Mods for Better Character Customization Well, I recently tried the PC version and discovered that OMFG THE GAME IS AMAZING WHEN YOU MOD IT TO DEATH! I highly encourage a playthrough with these mods if you haven’t done so already. Be sure to carefully read the documentation for each mod, to be certain that there are no conflicts with other mods (or even within one mod, as with a choice of several options for textures) and that you've also downloaded and installed any required mods (such as hairstyles or other cosmetics for face morphs). The first time I played Dragon Age: Origins was on the Xbox and I had a hard time getting into it because of the crappy graphics.

If repairing (or reinstalling) corrects the problems, then reinstall the mods in small batches, testing after each batch. If it is not resolved, then you should repair the game (not sure how that is done with a Steam install). If the situation is resolved, its a mod issue. (You can temporarily rename the Dragon Age\addIns, Dragon Age\packages\core\data, and Dragon Age\Packages\core\override folders and back up the AddIns.xml file located in Dragon Age\settings.)

Try removing all your mods, both DAzips and overrides. 'Weird black lines' or areas of skin that appear as black is usually caused by improperly installed or conflicting body texture replacers, i.e.

Sounds like you haven't installed whatever prerequisite mods are required for the morphs installed. No hair/back of head missing is missing hair meshes. 'Silvery' or shiny grey faces are missing textures.
