Power up another receptacle by launching an energy ball into a small doorway leading to it, then continue down to the next receptacle. You'll need to use your gravity gun to catch huge chunks of debris to save you and Alyx from death (well, her anyway). When you reach an elevator leading down to the core, power it up and look upwards.
Continue with Alyx to another loading zone. For this one, just aim an energy ball behind the glass so it bounces into the receptacle. The next bridge has a glass panel in front of one of the receptacles. Another bridge needs to be constructed straight ahead of the one you just crossed and there are plenty of energy balls for it underneath the two receptacles. The gravity gun will make quick work of them. Now that you have a proper weapon, soldiers will come after you. There's an empty energy receptacle on a wall to your left launch an energy ball in there to reactivate the bridge so you two can make it across. Just past this are some floating energy balls and a half-constructed bridge. At another barrier, the gravity gun will return to its blue state. Sprint across when the reactor on your right stops freaking out. By peeking over the edge, you'll find a thin path you can walk across, which leads to an energized bridge. The next point of interest is a rail with seeming no way ahead. Alyx will work on the mine so you can use it drop it with and let it do its job so you can continue. Push a button near a mine vent and pick up one, then take it to the glass elevator rising up back to where you were. Try to drop down to a glass floor as soon as you can. In order to breach the room that they're in, you'll need to crawl to the side by some windows to find some chaser mines. Stalkers are lanky, misshapen creatures you may have seen around the Citadel in Half-Life 2. When you reach a broken glass path, jump over the rail to the left and you'll come across a room with a few stalkers. Head left towards a small fire to continue. Move along the ledges with Alyx and push a car out of the way, then get in the passenger seat of another car while Dog drives you to the Citadel. After talking to the two scientists at a safe distance, you and Alyx will head off to the Citadel to slow down the dark energy reaction. After retrieving your gravity gun, which has devolved back to its standard form, pull some wooden planks away from a metal gate so you can walk up it.
